Barrier Films

barrier filmsBarrier films are multi-layer film structures produced via cast film or blown film processes. Barrier films provide a high degree of barrier against different gases such as oxygen, nitrogen. Barrier films are also used to keep flavor and aroma of food product’s fresh. PA (Polyamide) and EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) have almost exclusive use for these applications. Coextruding these chemicals with polyethylene and polypropylene films gives excellent barrier properties against water, steam, and moisture. Applications for barrier films focus on packaging of food and pharmaceutical products.

TRITON works closely with barrier film manufacturers all over the world. We are able to offer the high barrier film products with competitive pricing.
