PP (Polypropylene) TRAYS:

PP trays are very commonly used in packaging food and non-food products. The cost of PP trays is what makes them most attractive to end users. Even tough PP trays are not recycled as much as PET trays in the US, PP trays are mostly 100% recyclable.

Depending on end-user’s shelf life expectancy and product ingredients, we have non-barrier and barrier versions of our PP trays.

We have microwavable PP trays that can be used in a microwave oven to warm up food products.,

Most common applications for PP trays are spreads, sauces, fresh vegetables and fruits,  snacks, nuts, candies, and raw meat products such as beef, pork, chicken, seafood, veal, goat meat, lamb meat, etc.

 

PET TRAYS:

PET Trays are preferred due to their excellent clarity. When end-users want to improve their package look on grocery shelves and to bring out their products to front to consumers’ attention, they choose PET trays.

Even though they are 100% recyclable, most of plastic trays used in the US are not recycled and end up in landfills.

PET plastic resin is by far the most recycled resin in the US. Using PET trays will significantly improve the chances of your packages getting recycled and not end up in landfills.

CPET TRAYS:

The most important characteristic of CPET trays is that they are dual oven-able.

That means end users can warm up their food products either in conventional ovens or microwave ovens.

This is a very convenient feature for consumers.

Our CPET trays are available in mono- CPET and PE lined CPET  versions.

STYROFOAM REPLACEMENT TRAYS:

Styrofoam trays are commonly used because they are light in weight (less shipping expense), they are sturdy and they are low cost. These trays are made by using polystyrene resin.

Unfortunately, one very huge drawback with these trays is that they are very rarely recycled due to very limited applications for recycled styrofoam trays.

Moreover, there are very few established recycling companies, which recycles styrofoam trays.  For these reasons, almost all of styrofoam trays end in landfills.

We are very happy to offer the following two solutions to replace styrofoam trays:

  • Regular PET Trays:

These trays are available in clear and colored versions.

  • Foamed PET Trays.

FOAMED PET TRAYS:

  • Made by the most recycled resin in the US.
  • Most competitive alternative to PS Foam trays.
  • Foam PET trays have monolayer structures. This allows them to be recycled easily.
  • Seamless change from Foamed PS to Foamed PET.
  • 40% less resin than clear PET trays.
  • Light weight similar to PS Foam trays. Saves energy and fuel during shipment.
  • 100% recyclable by and within the existing PET recycle chain.
  • Minimum of 25% postconsumer recycled resin content.
  • PET foam trays are stronger and more resistant trays compared to PS. They will not break in the packaging equipment.
  • PET foam trays are tear resistance and they do not tear as PS foam trays do. This protects packages from any damage happening during shipment and prevents any leakage due to tears on trays.
